Meet Suzie
Suzie is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN). As a clinician, she provides nutrition counseling and evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for those seeking help with a diagnosis, ongoing symptoms, or disease prevention. Her expertise includes nutrition for digestive and metabolic diseases, and practical diet approaches for symptom management.
Suzie became a dietitian because she loves food and health, though particularly loves how the two converge. She seeks to help individuals minimize the physical discomfort, fear, or overwhelm they may feel regarding their food choices and bodies, while maximizing dietary freedom.
Suzie earned her master’s degree in nutrition from Columbia University and has trained in clinical research, culinary, and clinical gastroenterology settings including Mount Sinai’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center and the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University.
Suzie currently serves patients alongside the physician team at New York Gastroenterology Associates, a premier independent gastroenterology practice and leaders in the field of gastrointestinal health.
In addition to her clinical practice, Suzie is an inflammatory bowel disease research coordinator, a clinical preceptor, guest academic lecturer, and health writer. She leads GI nutrition training groups for dietitans and has been a guest speaker for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her expertise has been featured in numerous media outlets, including Forbes, Women’s Health, CNN.com, Medscape, LiveStrong, VeryWell Health, Everyday Health, and SiriusXM radio.
